The Truth is, We ARE the Fans in the Stands
You see, we are the fans in the stands. We are the ones questioning every play, screaming that the one in charge must not know what He's doing. We are the ones not trusting the process.
To the Wife Held Captive by “What If”
When we are focused on ourselves, when we are delighting in our pity party (queen of that right here), when we are doubting our influence in our families and our careers (or husband’s career)—we are letting Satan win. We are NOT out there encouraging others. We are NOT spreading the gospel. We ...

Your Husband Has Been Fired. Where in the World is God?
Your husband has been fired and where in the world is God? He was there three weeks ago when my girlfriend insisted that I meet her. She told me about the BIOY (Bible in One Year) app that I would need to cling to. Every single day there has been a nugget of truth I’ve been able to cling ...
Even When Coach is Gone All the Time, I am Not Alone and I am Not Forgotten
In trying to scrap up their first win, there were sooooo many long nights of stress, of games, of practices, trying to get a little closer to the goal. Sometimes, even sacrificing his “home team” for more scouting, more film, more scheming. Something. Anything to get over the hump.

And maybe that means dressing up for ...
Football Brings Me Closer to Jesus
God put you here. He sent you a coach companion. He makes no mistake. If we are lucky, we discover why God chose this life for us. For me, he knew I’d put my faith in the flesh (spring-summer) and that I would need to have my focus readjusted (fall).
My Need for Control Was Killing My Marriage
We talk for a while. They ask questions and hold my hand. They pray over me. And then they give me the best marriage advice I’ve ever received.
When You Suck at Asking for Help
“I don’t want you to help me! NO! NO! Don’t touch it!” she screamed as she aggressively jammed the “outie” part of the zipper against the “innie” part of the zipper over and over and over again to no avail. “Charlee, we have to go. ...
