You'll realize that to do it the right way, to be the best possible coach's wife (and person), the one that the community and school deserve, it's going to cost you a piece of your heart.

You know what? Nobody's life is perfect. If you realize that now, you will save yourself much anxiety, pain, and stress. During season, schedules are crazy, nights get late, and your home will most likely become a mess. As a recovering perfectionist, this is something that freaked me out . . . especially early on in the season.
Don’t let anyone give you grief for doing what’s best for you.
It truly is a special thing to see when teammates and coaches come alongside their hurting brother and lift them up.
Don’t let anyone give you grief for doing what’s best for you.
Humans are icebergs and we never know what someone is going through, and today they took it out on our partner. It’s hard to not strike back, especially when it’s it front of our kids and they don’t quite understand adult misgivings. The best we can do is protect ourselves, realizing that we do not know what that person is going through in their own life.
You are making sacrifices, your Coach is making sacrifices, your kids are making sacrifices, your extended families are making sacrifices. BUT only two people made the conscious decision to live this life: you and your Coach.
We would know what it was like to watch the hearts of our kids break; missing their Dad so much they came unglued.
But we would pick up the pieces. Because there wouldn’t be any other alternative but to keep on keepin’ on.
