Normal people don’t understand the emotional highs and lows that are dependent on how a group of students perform. They don’t understand how you can have a family that expands by 20 kids for 4-5 moths a year. They don’tget the pain of overhearing someone saying how the person you love more than your own life and who you know has gives everything to the program “doesn’t care” or isn’t good enough. They don’t understand how your life can revolve around something that you don’t actually do. FNW is such a supportive community, and before I found it, I felt so isolated and alone. I also thought that visiting the sports complexes of whatever college we were near was a dirty little secret instead of a perfectly normal coaching family outing.

My only regret is that personal computers and the internet were not even invented when my coach began his career in 1975. What a wonderful plethora of information and encouragement can be shared through FNW. Being a coach's wife is aposition that is only really understood by other coaches' wives! We are a solidified group of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences, but no matter the situation, someone in this group has already experienced it and is so willing to share and encourage. As for the merchandise, I absolutely love everything I have received. Prices are great and the quality is, too! FNW is truly a coach's wife's happy place!
