I am a coach's wife to a high school football head coach. I have been a coach's wife for 12 years and have also joined the coaching world as a head track and field coach at the same large high school. I work in the tech industry for my "real" job, have my doctorate in education, and have two wonderful kiddos. For my "extra" time I try to find different ways to compete and stay active with my last adventure being a half marathon, which I can confidently say it was first and my last!
What is your favorite part of this lifestyle?-
The community football builds from the coaching families, to the parents and athletes, to the community members.
What is your LEAST favorite part of this lifestyle?
- The ups and downs of the season (which means all year). The highs are so high and the lows are extremely low.
What is one item you can't live without that makes this life easier?
- My Planner! And Wine :)
What is your go to concession stand order or must have snack?
- Popcorn
What is the craziest thing you have survived due to this lifestyle?
- Watching my husband survive coaching through Covid and the daily changes to rules, safety, and expectations.
What is one thing you would go back and tell your younger self?
-
Don't sweat the small stuff and communicate, communicate, communicate. Over communication can do wonders since my husband cannot read my mind.
