Friday Feature: Allison Van Regenmorter

Friday Feature: Allison Van Regenmorter

My husband, Tim, and I have been married for 28 years. We have 4 beautiful children- Adam (son-in-law) and Kaylea, Brodie is a Freshman at Northwestern College and Baylor is in 7th grade. This summer we became grandparents. Hayzen Jon is the best!! Tim is our Head Football Coach at Sioux Center High School in Sioux Center, IA.

What is your favorite part of this lifestyle?

  • Football is special. I love what the game does, it brings people together!
What is your LEAST favorite part of this lifestyle?
  • This is hard - there isn’t a part I don’t like … maybe the lack of sleep during season.
What is one item you can't live without that makes this life easier?
  • Our assistant Coaches, their wives, and families. They are the best and I(we) couldn’t live without them!
What is your go to concession stand order or must have snack?
  • I don’t eat during a game, but after the game I eat a lot! Although, I am always up for a coffee...
What is the craziest thing you have survived due to this lifestyle?
  • As I look back, what's crazy to me is that Tim became a head football coach at age 22. And I becoming a coach's wife at 18. We got married young and Tim’s first job out of college was a Head Football Coach and HS PE Teacher Ontario Christian in Ontario , CA. That’s so young!
What is one thing you would go back and tell your younger self?
  • As I’ve gotten older, I truly enjoy Friday nights and the grind of the week leading up to Friday night. Sit back, soak it all in! Raising your family through football is a beautiful thing!!!
