My husband, Danny DeArman, is presently the Athletic Director/Head football coach for the Joshua Owls in Joshua, Texas! He has been coaching for 26 years and I have been his biggest fan for all of it. It is sometimes a thankless job and I would like to thank him for all the hard work and hours he and all coaches put in to train, mentor, and love on hundreds of young men!
We have three amazing kiddos of our own and all 3 have been raised on the football field. Both of our sons played during high school for their dad and our daughter is currently the manager for the Owls football team, and her daddy is loving having her on the sidelines! Seems we can’t get enough. I am a teacher for Joshua ISD and have enjoyed being part of the Owl family.
What is your favorite part of this lifestyle?
- The relationships we build with the fans and the dear friends we have made along this journey.
What is your LEAST favorite part of this lifestyle?
- When a former or current player passes away.
What is one item you can't live without that makes this life easier?
- My bible!
What is your go to concession stand order or must have snack?
- Nachos of course and Diet Coke!
- It is hard to separate yourself from the tension that comes with your husband also being your son's football coach.
What is one thing you would go back and tell your younger self?
- You have no idea how fast this is going to go by, so please don’t stress over silly things. God always works it out. Trust Him!
