It’s Just a Season

It’s Just a Season

To the newlywed wife,
He’s gone a lot. He’s watching film while he’s home. This isn’t what you thought your first year as a married couple would be like. It’s called football “season” for a reason. He’ll be home soon. Hold tight. It’s just a season.

To the new mommy wife,
I know it feels like you’re doing it alone. You’re strong. He wants to be there. You’re not alone. Hold tight. It’s just a season.

To the mommy of toddlers wife,
I know it’s crazy at your house. It feels most days that the toddlers are running the house not the other way around. He may miss bedtime for the 3rd time this week. You can do this. Hold tight. It’s just a season.

To the mommy of tweens and teens wife,
You’re running everywhere. It may seem impossible when every kid has practiced at the same time at a different park. Take a deep breath. Ask for help. Enjoy the little time you have left with your kids at home. Hold tight. It’s just a season.

To the empty-nester wife,
You’re used to him being gone. You’ve lived this life for a while, but it’s different now. It’s quiet. You’re alone. You have a freedom that you haven’t had since you were the newlywed wife. Find something new that brings you joy. Hold tight. It’s just a season.

To all the coaches' wives,
He needs you even if he doesn’t always say it. You are the rock during this season. He’ll be home soon. Hold tight. It’s just a season.
